You agree that all content created by users is the sole responsibility of the person who created it. Young Learners Curriculum doesn’t take any responsibility for user-generated content and can’t promise that it is correct, honest, or high-quality. We don’t check user-uploaded content before it goes live, but we have the right to monitor it and take it down if we want to. This is up to the Young Learners Curriculum. You can get in touch with us if you find content that you think breaks these rules or is otherwise inappropriate.

6: Payments

6.1 You will need to buy or sign up for a subscription plan in order to use some of our services. If you don’t pay the required fees, which could be because you don’t have enough money or because of a technical problem, you will lose access to the services right away.

6.2 You can cancel your order for access to our digital products, such as courses, resources, and membership subscriptions, within 14 days of your purchase and get a full refund by contacting us. This is true unless you have already used the service, such as by starting an online course or viewing teaching resources that are only available to subscribers. You can’t cancel your order or get a full or partial refund once you’ve started using the services you bought. By placing an order, you agree that this is true.

6.3 If you sign up for a membership, you will be charged regular subscription fees according to the schedule on the checkout page, unless you cancel it in your account before the payment is made. Unless you are told otherwise, your regular subscription fees will stay at the price you agreed to when you made your first payment.

6.4 Young Learners Curriculum can change prices or give discounts at any time and for any reason. If the price of your membership subscription changes, we will let you know before your next payment.

6.5 To keep you safe, Young Learners Curriculum uses third-party payment providers like PayPal or Stripe to handle transactions. Young Learners Curriculum does not keep track of your credit card or debit card information. You are in charge of reading the terms and conditions of these third-party payment platforms and following them.

6.6 Young Learners Curriculum is not responsible for any fees that your debit or credit card company or another payment service charges you when you buy our services. Young Learners Curriculum also isn’t responsible for any other fees you might have to pay to third parties because you use our services.

6.7 Young Learners Curriculum has the right to stop giving you services, even if you’ve already paid for them, if you:

6.7.1 Not pay fees when they are due;

6.7.2 Cheat or plagiarize any work, including, but not limited to, online course assignments or curriculum resources;

6.7.3 Break these terms and conditions.

7: Use of teaching resources for a limited amount of money

7.1 You agree that the Young Learners Curriculum gives you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited commercial use license for teaching resources, as described in this section. This license is only good as long as your membership is paid for. If your membership ends, the payment doesn’t go through, or your account is frozen, this license is revoked and you must stop using our resources right away.

7.2 You agree that any teaching materials that Young Learners Curriculum gives you, whether for free or as part of a membership subscription, are only for your own use. You can’t let other people or organizations use your membership subscription. You can’t use your account to get into someone else’s files or download things for them. Companies, organizations, agencies, or schools should make sure that each person has their own membership subscription, unless Young Learners Curriculum and the organization have agreed otherwise through a separate partner agreement.

7.3 If you use, look at, or buy access to our resources, you agree to be bound by these rules.

7.4 You understand and agree that the resources on Young Learners Curriculums can only be used for live education, both for free and for money. This can only be used for teaching in a classroom, private tutoring in person, or live online teaching. You can’t use these resources for anything other than school. If you aren’t sure if your use qualifies as live educational use, it is your responsibility to check with us first.

7.5 You can’t use Young Learners Curriculum’s resources for asynchronous learning activities, like pre-recorded classes where students weren’t there when they were recorded.

7.6 You can only use the materials from the Young Learners Curriculum on the Young Learners Curriculum website. If you teach online, you should use the screen-sharing or web browsing tools that come with your platform to share teaching materials. You can’t share what’s on your screen or access, distribute, embed, sell, or share our resources or images of our resources in any other way outside of the Young Learners Curriculum website.

7.7 You can record classes that you teach using materials from the Young Learners Curriculum if you only want to share them with the students in the live class at the time of the recording. You can’t sell or give class recordings to people who weren’t there when they were made, unless it’s for the protection of children, to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or to follow the rules in clause 7.8 below. If you teach on a platform that records classes, you can’t share these recordings outside of the platform or with people who weren’t there or enrolled in the live class.

7.8 You can use some materials from Young Learners Curriculums in your marketing or advertising, as described here. You can embed up to one open access resource (one that’s free to use on our website and doesn’t require an account) on your own site to show potential students examples of curriculum content. Please contact us for the embed code. You can also take up to five screenshots of our resources that are open to the public to use in your marketing materials. Also, you can only record one 30-minute open-access class using our resources to promote your teaching services. You can’t use marketing materials that use our resources or make references to them to promote other services you offer. If your membership ends, you must stop using any marketing materials that use our resources or refer to them.

7.9 You can’t use our resources in a way that could be seen as defamatory, obscene, hateful, inflammatory, inappropriate, offensive, or against someone’s rights. You can’t use our resources in a way that violates someone else’s or a third party’s copyright or intellectual property rights. You agree that our resources can’t be used to encourage illegal or harmful behavior or to threaten or hurt other people. When you use our materials to teach, we ask that you think about how what you say and do might reflect on you and on the Young Learners Curriculum as a company.

7.10 You don’t have to give credit to the Young Learners Curriculum if you use our materials. You can’t, though, say that the resources are your own. If you want to give credit to the Young Learners Curriculum, you could say something like, “I teach using the Young Learners Curriculum curriculum.” You can’t use words like “partner” that could mislead people about your relationship with Young Learners Curriculum or make it sound like they support you. You agree that Young Learners Curriculum is the only one who owns the copyright and intellectual property rights to our resources.

7.11 You can’t sell, share, re-distribute, or do anything else with our resources, copies or derivatives of our resources, printouts, screenshots, or images of our resources, or any other copies you make. You may not embed our resources in your own website, a third-party site or intranet site. You must not make our resources available in a format that allows others to access or reproduce them. You can’t use our resources in a way that goes against the letter or spirit of this agreement, violates the intellectual property of Young Learners Curriculum, or hurts our business operations, sales, revenue, or profits.

8: Online courses

8.1 By registering and/ or purchasing access to one of our online courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.

8.2 The Young Learners Curriculum website is where you can get to all online courses, materials, assignments, and certificates. We promise that you will have access to each course for at least a year after you sign up.

8.3 Unless the course assessment criteria say otherwise, you need to finish all lessons and get at least a 70% on every quiz or assignment to pass a course.

8.4 Some of our courses have been approved by outside groups and are monitored by those groups. This lets you know that our courses are good and meet high standards. By signing up for a third-party accredited course, you agree that the third-party accrediting organization may have access to all information related to your course participation. This includes, but is not limited to, discussion forum comments, assignments, quiz scores, and information about your progress.

8.5 If you sign up for one of our online courses, you promise not to cheat or plagiarize. This means that you put together information from a different source and use it in your own work without citing the original source. You also can’t ask someone else to do your work or complete your assignments. All homework, quizzes, and other work you turn in must be your own. You understand and agree that all assignments you send to Young Learners Curriculum may be checked for plagiarism. If you break this rule, you will get 0% for that assignment. Young Learners Curriculum has the right to take away your access to our courses without giving you any money back if we think you copied someone else’s work.

8.6 You understand and agree that you can’t help other people plagiarize or cheat. This includes, but isn’t limited to, giving quiz answer keys to another student or doing their work for them. We want students to share ideas and help each other, but that shouldn’t get in the way of a fair grade.

9: Intellectual property rights, copyright, and private information

9.1 Unless otherwise stated, all articles, information, resources, materials, and other content on this website or through Young Learners Curriculum’s services are subject to copyright and/or other intellectual property rights owned or licensed by Young Learners Curriculum. Young Learners Curriculum gives you a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to use our website and services for their intended purpose, as long as you follow these terms and conditions.

You understand that if you use this website or Young Learners Curriculum’s services, you are agreeing to follow this rule and that if you break it, you are likely to face legal action.

9.3 You agree that the Young Learners Curriculum will always own any materials or resources that you download.

9.4 Confidential information is any data, documents, software, materials, or information that is marked as confidential or could be thought of as confidential and has to do with the business and management of Young Learners Curriculum, its users, members, and partners. You agree that any confidential information you get from using our services is valuable, confidential, and Young Learners Curriculum’s property. You agree that you won’t use or share this confidential information with anyone else without our written permission, unless these terms and conditions say you can or the law says you have to.

11.2 No part of the services provided by Young Learners Curriculum, its employees, or its directors should be seen as legal or professional advice, nor should it be seen that way, nor should it be taken that way.

11.3 You clearly agree and acknowledge that our website and services are used at your own risk. We aren’t responsible if it isn’t available or if it has technical problems. This includes, but isn’t limited to, service outages caused by website updates or maintenance.

12 Indemnification

12.1 You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold Young Learners Curriculum and its directors, employees, or agents harmless, on demand, from and against any and all liabilities, losses, costs, claims, and expenses (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) incurred as a result of or in connection with (directly or indirectly) your breach of these terms and conditions, any applicable law or regulation, and/or the rights of any third party.
